Welcome to the Under 8's team page!

Our Under 8's, made of those in school year 3, are the final 'tag team' before moving into contact rugby. The team is managed by Kylie Standen and coached weekly by Michael Stringer, Benoit Dupont and Andy Greaves.

Our 'child-first' coaching approach teaches the kids how to work as a team, learn technical skills and develop leadership roles, in a fun and exciting environment. We take a slight step up with regards to rules of play this year, concentrating on defensive lines, passing before being tagged, speed of reset and attacking in pairs. No experience or specific equipment is required to join our team, simply turn up, say hello and get stuck in.

Our Under 8's train at the rugby club every Sunday morning from 0930-1100, unless we are at a festival or at joint training sessions with local clubs. See the minis calendar for updates! Feel free to drop any of us a message using the link on the 'Team' profile page.
